Hafencity in Hamburg, located next to the typical ‘Speicherstadt’, is an area which is currently the target of many large developments. These developments accom-modate many people to live and/or work within this new part of Hamburg. This design is based on these two types of urban elements. Within the project living and working spaces are combined. The 40x40x40m cubic form of the building houses over sixty dwellings, all with a private workspace, and a big so called ‘network’ space for young entrepreneurs who live within the same area. This combination causes a synergy not only between the people living within the project, but also between the young entrepreneurs who live in the same area. Multiple atmospheres and workspaces are designed to attract a wide variety of job types. In addition to this programme a library is added. This not only increases knowledge but also attracts people from the surroundings.
